After the March postponement, due to weather conditions, Anna Percival and friends (Richard, Max and Jimmy) finally made their jump for charity from 15,000 feet up, on Saturday 3rd June. All four daredevils, also friends, are child care workers at the Beeches home in Okehampton, part of Phoenix Care and Education and thanks to everyone who donated, they raised about £1,800 – exceeding their target by nearly £300!
The four friends work in Childcare Services and wanted to support a local children’s charity. Anna suggested The Mary budding Trust in memory of Ann McDonald MBE, a much-loved member of her family, who was a fantastic supporter of the Trust, a founding member and for many years our secretary.
The Trust’s Chair, Sarah Pendle, was there to support and cheer them on and says ‘ The trust is really delighted to have four such brave people to jump from an aeroplane all in aid of us. They are brilliant people for doing this’.
A HUGE thank you to them all from the MBT Trustees for their daring efforts on behalf of the charity.
