A huge thank you Trudy Eperon for choosing The Mary Budding Trust as her charity for the Playday in the Park.
And what a wonderful day it was! From the delicious goodies in the Trudy Scrumptious Cafe, through the singing, drumming, and live music to the Soccertots and Rugbytots, with lots of other activities in between, it was enjoyed by families from all around the area. Especially popular was the Easter Egg Hunt.
The Trustees were there to spread the word about the work the Trust does and run their famous “Human Fruit Machine”, which made £38. The £53 proceeds from the raffle were also donated to the Trust’s funds so a big thank you for that too! It all goes towards helping children with additional needs in the Tavistock and Okehampton area and make a real difference to young lives.
The Opening Ceremony – from L to R:
Mayor of West Devon Jeff Moody, Mrs Jan Smallacombe (Tavistock Mayor’s consort), Tavistock Mayor Philip Sanders, Trudy Eperon and team.
It was a great pleasure for the Trustees to be visited by Shanara Curtis, one of the earliest recipients of a MBT grant. She is now at art college in Plymouth.
